JIM CARNE

Jim Carne was born and raised in Southern California.
He graduated from California State University,
Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Political Science. Jim's love of photography led him to
the art of lighting design. His first job in the business
was with Warner Brothers where he rigged stages as a
lighting technician. After a few years he moved on to
feature films with Universal, MGM and Disney to name a
few. After working as a gaffer for twenty years, Jim,
expanded his resume to include Lighting Designer,
Lighting Director, Director of Photography, and Lighting
Consultant on various television shows where his
accolades include an Emmy Nomination and a Cable
Ace Award. Jim is presently affiliated with Academy
Lighting Consultants which has won numerous Emmy
Awards and Nominations.
